LOVE AND WISDOM


REFLECTION :
  I often shop at Indomaret.  Every time I shop, I always get a plastic bag.  So I often throw away disposable plastic bags in my house.

  WISDOM :
 The impact of plastic bags on the environment is a negative effect that must be borne by nature because of the presence of plastic waste.  This effect was very significant.  As is known, plastic which began to be used around 50 years ago, has now become an inseparable item in human life.  It is estimated that there are 500 million to 1 billion plastic bags used by the world's population in one year.  This means there are around 1 million plastic bags per minute.  To make this, 12 million barrels of oil are needed per year, and 14 million trees are cut down.
 Facts about plastic making materials, (generally polyvinyl polymers) made from polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB) which have a structure similar to DDT.  And plastic bags that are difficult to be decomposed by the soil until it takes between 100 to 500 years.  Will cause contamination of soil, groundwater and underground creatures, Toxins from plastic particles that enter the soil will kill decomposing animals in the soil, PCBs that cannot be decomposed even if ingested by animals and plants will become chain poisons in sequence  food chain.

  ACTION NOW:
  Because plastic is difficult to decompose, I realize that the use of plastic bags has a negative impact on the environment.  From now on I will try to replace the use of plastic bags with special bags used at Indomaret, which can be taken every time I go to Indomaret.  So when I buy things at Indomaret, I don't need to get a plastic bag.



LOVE:
 We must love our earth.  The use of plastic bags must be stopped immediately because it can cause soil pollution.  I will try to replace the use of plastic bags with environmentally friendly bags.

ACTION PLAN :
When I'm going to go to Indomaret, I'll bring a tote bag or eco bag that safe the earth.
